Mr. Gesker concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation, business organization, contract negotiation and government advocacy.  He counsels clients on complex issues of construction risk management, business organization, government regulation, insurance coverage, and environmental, intellectual property, and tort litigation.  Through this process, he develops thorough resolution plans and then actively implements those plans to achieve positive, expeditious and cost-effective resolutions consistent with the client’s goals. 

 

He has over twenty years of litigation experience before federal and state courts as well as arbitration panels.  His litigation experience includes wrongful death and personal injury claims, public and private construction projects, environmental torts, real estate transactions and intellectual property claims.  He has successfully argued several dispositive motions resulting in dismissal of claims prior to trial.  He has also obtained verdicts at trials and arbitrations on behalf of licensed professionals, insurance carriers, developers, contractors and real property owners. 

 

In addition, Mr. Gesker has affected positive change to legislation and regulations regarding professional practices in Massachusetts through the representation of professional advocacy organizations before government entities.

 

Mr. Gesker has presented at numerous conferences and public forums including professional practice organizations, government advocacy groups and public safety forums. He regularly speaks on risk management issues and provides legal updates for his clients, including design professionals and insurance carriers.
