Lisa Oliver White joined Murphy & Riley, P.C. as an Associate in 2010, and was elected a Member in 2018. Lisa is licensed and has trial experience in the state courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  Her current practice is devoted to representation of medical and mental health professionals, drug and medical device litigation, as well as defense of general liability matters in state and federal courts. For several years prior to joining the firm, Lisa’s focus was on general liability, premises liability and tort defense in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Earlier, she served as a judicial law clerk in the chambers of the Honorable Maureen McKenna Goldberg of the Rhode Island Supreme Court.  While at Suffolk University Law School, from which she graduated magna cum laude in 2006, Lisa was the Production Editor of the Suffolk University Law Review.

Lisa was recently invited to join the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), a highly-selective, invitation-only global legal organization for attorneys who represent corporate and insurance interests.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association (MassDLA) and is the co-chair of the medical malpractice subcommittee.  Lisa has been selected as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer annually since 2020 in the areas of Medical Malpractice, Product Liability, and Civil Litigation; she was previously selected as a Super Lawyer Rising Star.  Lisa serves as the chair of the selection committee for the Thomas J. Drinan Memorial Fellowship at Suffolk University Law School, and she is a frequent panelist at continuing legal education workshops.
